The “10-minute rule” has been the standard for homework. It recommends that students do no more than 10 minutes per day. For example, second graders should complete 20 minutes of homework per night. Senior high school students should do approximately two hours of homework each evening. National PTA, National Education Association and other organizations support this recommendation.
