Research shows that peer group influence can make students more anxious, particularly in regards to academic performance. The relationship between the peers in the group and the group is interrelated. Thus, it is crucial to watch how these relationships develop. Many teenagers are subject to peer pressure. Professionals know the importance of educating teens about the dangers of peer influence. Peer influence among teenagers doesn’t directly affect them in any way, but it can have an impact on how students are treated by their peers (Mosha 2017, 2017). Students who are motivated and influenced by their peers will do well in school and achieve high grades in mathematics. Peer support can help students excel in school and in life.

Social support is important for adolescents as they learn to communicate with others and deal with various illnesses. Teenagers can benefit from the support of their peers through social support to reduce stress and anxiety. Despite all the research that has been done on peer group and student academic performance, it is not clear what the nature of peer effects between students (Zhang 2010, 2010). The role of the peer group is critical for all educational programs and categories. It helps to understand how students interact with and support each other. Peer pressure refers to teenagers being encouraged by their peers to do something. Peer pressure can also result from parents not being able to supervise their children in adolescence. This is why children are more likely to spend time with their peers and enjoy each other’s company during that period (Puligni, 1993). Ezzarrooki (2016) says that there are many factors that can affect student’s academic performance at school. Students could benefit from the support of their peers. This could increase their academic ability and motivate them to work harder than they do alone. The school’s student peer group acts as a socializing teenager, allowing them to interact with their peers and offer support for young adolescents. Students can influence their peers and have a significant impact on student choices. This could also affect student performance. Understanding the influence of peers on teenagers is essential for understanding and developing socioeconomic policies. Teenagers are influenced by their peers during their adolescence. Guzman, 2017. This is when teens develop close friendships with peers. Peer pressure to others’ behavior is a social phenomenon. Although some members of a specific society are not affected in a negative way, most people are affected. The different factors that affect adolescence’s academic success are discussed in Chen (2008). Emotional support is needed to communicate publically and express one’s private goals or objectives. The emotional benefits of expressing your emotions to others can help you overcome temptations and give you an emotional boost. Peer groups can answer teenagers’ questions about a variety of topics, including changing bodies or physical appearance.

The school where students go to school serves a learning environment for students. While major course selections are important decisions that students make, the impact of their interactions with other students can affect them. While it’s easy to see similarities in an individual’s behavior due to the influence of peers, it is not always possible to link the consequences. The interaction between students and their agemates can help them to learn more, especially when they are guided by an adult educator.

Peer pressure does not directly affect students’ academic performance. But, one can find the right coping method for a problem in order to manage it and to be optimistic about fighting back.
