The Lessons I’ve Learned In Middle School

Middle school taught me many things. The most important was that you don’t have friends and life isn’t fair. You don’t have to tell me that I am wrong. Although you may believe you have a friend or a family member, you will eventually part ways and never see each other again. Although it may seem obvious, this is the truth. Because life isn’t fair, I mean it! Middle school is a tough place. There’s no escape.

Middle school is like living in a prison cell with a bunch of lemmings. The lemmings are bound together and can’t escape. It doesn’t matter if you try hard to escape other lemmings. Friends are like head lemmings. You are completely forgotten about once they find someone faster and better looking. You may think that these people or persons will be your confidante for life and provide a safe place to cry on. Your best friend eventually finds a better person and starts to drift away. Slowly, then faster until you see the end. You start to realize that they weren’t my friends at all. It’s unfair that you’re all alone and alone. Although you may not have always been able to get the Popsicle colors you desired, you now know that it is because of real events. Your family doesn’t get along and you are constantly insulted and cut down by them. Your so-called friends can betray your trust and you don’t have anyone to rely on when you need it most. Life isn’t fair because, after you miss the bus, fail a test, get a referral, pull a muscle, and then go home to do three hours homework, pick up the trash, and listen to your parents lecturing, life’s not fair. Life’s not fair. You feel abandoned and unable to move on. You may think I’m complaining and whining. But that’s just me. Sometimes complaining and whining can make you feel better. This is something I have learned. You will feel better, even though you end up with people you don’t like and are angry at. Because you don’t have any friends or life’s unfair, you might as well make the most of what you have. I don’t know how it will last forever. However, it did teach me two things that will stick with me throughout my life.
